Registered Charity 523248/1
Holme Village Hall was built by volunteers between 1957 and 1959, in the rural village of Holme on Spalding Moor, which is centrally placed in the East Riding and lies on the edge of the Wolds, only 14 miles from Beverley and 6 miles from Market Weighton.
The building has a large, versatile Hall and stage, enabling many different uses from children’s parties to weddings (see the “Photo Gallery”).
We have the facilities to stage concerts, shows, exhibitions and seminars for large gatherings of up to 200 people and offer community services such as Blood Donor sessions.
There is disabled access to the Main Hall, Committee Room and Social Club as well as disabled toilet facilities available in the Main Hall. The new kitchen (supplied in November 2010 by Howdens Joinery), which is shared by both the Committee Room and the Main Hall, offers coffee/tea making facilities. Preparation of food by the hirer is an option or there are caterers in the village who can supply all your catering needs. For more details, please ask.
A P.A. system is available for hire as are screens for both the Committee Room and Main Hall. The smaller Committee Room is ideal for meetings for up to 60 people. The two rooms can be used totally independently (the kitchen can be shared).
Car parking for 40 cars is available in the large car park at the front of the Hall.
There is additional parking available throughout the village.
For more information about the Committee Room and/or Main Hall, please contact the Bookings Clerk, Mrs Lesley White on 01430 860447. The Social Club can also be hired for smaller private parties or can be used in conjunction with the Main Hall for a large event. Contact the Club Steward, Jeff Spacey on 01430 860619.
