It was a lovely sunny day on Sunday, 11 September for Holme Heritage Day. The Village Hall and All Saints Church were both open. A Heritage Walk set off from the Hall at 1pm led by Richard Brook and his dog, Alfie. Over 30 walkers went through the village and took the path up church hill. There was then a stop for everyone to have a look round the church and also climb the tower to see the views and the Saxon carving. The walk then continued along the top of the hill past the WW2 Observation Post to Lock Lane and back to the Village Hall, where there was a welcome cup of tea and excellent cakes. There was also a display by Holme Local History Society showing photographs of historical buildings along the route. Thanks to everyone who helped on the day and to everyone who took part.
